 TRAIL RIDGE MIDDLE SCHOOL TRACK MEET

Date of Track Meet: Monday, April 8, 2024

Teams: Lexington Trail, Mill Creek & Trail Ridge 

Admission: - $4/Adult & $2/Student (Seniors 59+ Free)

Entries: Each athlete may have 3 individual - 4 if at least one is a relay

Scoring: Open Events 5-3-2-1 & Relay Events 5-3

Entries Deadline: Sunday April 7th 6:00pm (if in by Friday afternoon I can look over)

Buses: Drop off at track and park in the parking lot on the East side of TRMS. 

Team Camps: Should be in/near the visitor’s stands or grassy areas on the East side of the stadium & well away from the track. Locker Rooms are NOT available. Each school is responsible for their own valuables.

Long Jump: 7B, 8B (NE Pit) (may change w/ wind) 8G, 7G (NW Pit) 

High Jump: 7G, 8G (North West) 8B, 7B (North East) 

Pole Vault: 8G, 8B, 7G, 7B (May combine 8th and 7th)

RUNNING EVENTS ORDER: 

3:45 3200M Run (7G, 7B, 8G & 8B running together) 

4:15 Order - 7G, 7B, 8G, 8B

***If running events have a low number of entries, we will combine 7G with 7B or 8G with 8B. 

Athletes check into the table near the 50 yard line to receive their Heat & Lane numbers.

We will be using a Fully Automated Timing (FAT) system, so please stay away from the finish line and stay off the football field as much as possible.

Basehor Linwood Meet Recap and Presale for Team Pictures

The Huskies traveled to Basehor Linwood on Tuesday, April 2nd and competed against, Basehor Linwood, Lexington Trails and Lansing.

Final point totals of the meet

7th Grade girls - 20.5 (4th place)
7th Grade boys - 27 (3rd place)
8th Grade girls - 23.2 (4th place)
8th Grade boys - 52 (1st place)

We had 36 of our athletes score for their grade level team.
High point scorers: 
Olivia Alverez (7th Grade) 9 points
Topher Kroh (7th Grade) 5.5 points
Grace Davies (8th Grade) 10
Dawson Cassida (8th grade) 11 - Also worth noting that Jeremiah Petit scored 10.5 points!

8th Grade girls 4x4 relay broke the school record running 4:38.53!!

It was a great start to the season for all of our athletes and we look forward to seeing their growth over the course of the next month. 

The Huskies are back in action on Monday, April 8th hosting the Trail Ridge Invite. More information to come.

Meet #1 Basehor Linwood Information

Hello Huskies!


Meet #1 Basehor Linwood is on Tuesday, April 2, 2024!!! We are so excited and hope you are super patient as we kick off our season! Encourage students to pay close attention to the announcements and be in the right areas at the right time! And...as always...HAVE FUN!!!


*Participants may be entered in 2 individual events & 1 relay, for a total of 3 events OR 3 individual events.

*Please instruct your athletes to listen to the P.A. for event information.

*All spikes should be 1/4" or shorter.


Announcements:

  • Here is an informational sheet to review!
  • Here is the link to our track blog. Please bookmark and refer to it often!
  • Weather - Weather dictates our practices. Layers…layers…layers! If the weather “feels like below 55 degrees”, you must have your arms and legs completely covered! Always pack sweats just in case!

  • Daily Routine - locker room, change, fill up water, meet with coach, head out to bleachers (girls are on Visitor side), 2 laps, warmups, work out, stretch, final meeting, go home.  

  • Rides - need to be here by 5:15! THANK YOU for your help in picking them up on time!

  • Attendance - Practice is every day after school! PLEASE BE HERE!!! If you will not be here, you need to communicate early with the coaches.
